INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (naccsports.org) --- The Illinois Institute of Technology men's tennis program will face Haverford College in a 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship first-round match Friday at Case Western Reserve University. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. Central Time.
Illinois Tech (12-9) received the automatic berth from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) after record a 4-3 win over MSOE on Sunday and are in the field for the fifth time in six seasons.
The 16th-ranked Fords (15-5) are in the field for the first time since 1996 despite falling to No. 8 Swarthmore, 4-0, in the Centennial Conference championship match.
The two sides are meeting for the first time.
Friday's winner will face No. 13-ranked Kenyon (18-5) in a second-round match on Saturday.
The six-team regional in Cleveland also features No. 4 Case Western Reserve, Ohio Northern, and No. 53 Whitman.
Single elimination competition continues through five rounds before the national championship on May 22. Starting with the quarterfinals, action will be held at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California.
