Erin Skinner Named Edgewood Head Softball Coach

MADISON, Wis.Erin Skinner has been named the Edgewood University softball head coach, Director of Athletics Nick Pasquarello announced Tuesday. Skinner brings seven years of collegiate coaching experience to Edgewood University.

"We are excited to welcome Erin Skinner as the new head coach of the softball program at Edgewood University," said Pasquarello. "Through an extensive national search, Coach Skinner emerged as a standout candidate whose coaching philosophy, competitive experience, and leadership style align perfectly with the mission and values of our department."

Skinner comes from Dakota State University where she spent the last two seasons as the head coach of the Trojans. During her time at Dakota State University, the softball program made significant strides towards growing program performance and achieving academic and performance milestones. Skinner coached two North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Gold Glove Outfielder selections, three NSAA First Team selections, and one NSAA Second Team selection. Prior to Dakota State University, Skinner served as the Head Coach at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota where she was named NSAA Coach of the Year in 2023. Skinner's coaching journey began at Doane University where she served as a graduate assistant coach before moving on to Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas where she was an assistant coach.

"I'm looking forward to building on the program's strong foundation and exploring new ways to expand our reach and deepen our impact. I want to thank President Dr. Andrew Manion, Director of Athletics Nick Pasquarello, and the entire search committee for this wonderful opportunity to join the Edgewood University community. I'd also like to thank my parents Renee and Dan Skinner, brother Andrew Skinner and fiancé Bailey Heaton for supporting me in achieving my goals. Skinner was a four-year letterwinner at Lindenwood University-Belleville. She was a four-year recipient of the American Midwest Conference All-Academic Team. Skinner added Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athlete and NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors.

Skinner earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lindenwood University – Belleville. Skinner went on to earn her MBA with an emphasis in leadership from Doane University.
