MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology senior Garrison Carter (Island Lake, Ill.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 12-18, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Carter, a senior forward, averaged 28.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as the Scarlet Hawks split a pair of NACC contests. Included in his week was a career-high 35-point performance in Illinois Tech's 79-77 road win at Concordia Chicago. In that game, Carter shot 11-of-19 from the field (58 percent), including 5-of-7 from 3-point range (71 percent). Carter followed that game up with a 21-point performance against Edgewood. For the week, Carter shot 17-of-38 (45 percent) from the field, 7-of-13 from 3-point range (54 percent), with 11 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.
