Aurora's McLellan, Dominican's Hirsch Named NACC Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University senior Josh McLellan (Calgary, Alberta) and Dominican University junior Thomas Hirsch (Boise, Idaho) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 19-25, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Defense --- Thomas Hirsch, Jr., MB, Dominican University
Hirsch, a junior middle blocker, was a force at the net as the Stars posted 3-0 victories over both Augustana (Ill.) and Adrian. Against Augustana, he collected four digs and seven total blocks, including one solo stuff. Hirsch had seven block assists and a dig aginst Adrian.

Offense --- Josh McLellan, Sr., OH, Aurora University
McLellan, a senior outside, helped Aurora open up the 2026 season with a pair of 3-0 road wins over Illinois Wesleyan and Trine. The preseason all-America selection had 28 kills while hitting .489 over the two matches. He had 13 kills and hit .611 against Illinois Wesleyan, then posted 15 kills and a .414 hitting percentage in the win over Trine.
