MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Week four of the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) football season saw several high-scoring games, strong defense, and big wins as conference play continues to heat up.
Concordia Wisconsin remained undefeated, picking up a road win against Lakeland to remain atop the conference standings, while St. Norbert held off Wisconsin Lutheran at home to reach .500 for the first time this season.
Coming off a bye, Benedictine started conference play off with a win, defeating Eureka, which is still seeking its first win of the season. Aurora notched its first win of the season, taking down Rockford to get into the win column.
Concordia Chicago (3-0, 1-0 NACC) had the bye this week, and will go on the road to Concordia Wisconsin (4-0, 2-0 NACC) this Saturday.

Aurora 61, Rockford 5
After suffering an extremely close loss to Concordia Wisconsin in its conference opener, Aurora was able to pick up its first win of the season and its first win of conference play by using a sustained offensive attack to defeat Rockford at Sam Greeley Field in Rockford, Illinois. The Spartans now sit at 1-3 overall and 1-0 in conference, while Rockford is 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference.
Aurora started the first quarter off strong, with Jackson Alcorn throwing two touchdown passes to take an early lead over Rockford. When the Spartans attempted the extra point on the second touchdown, Wendell Harris of the Regents blocked the kick, taking it in for two and making it a 13-2 lead.
The two teams traded the ball back and forth with a pair of punts and an interception, before Alcorn recorded his third passing touchdown of the day to give the Spartans a 21-2 lead going into the second quarter.
Less than three minutes into the second quarter, Alcorn found AJ Highsmith for a 29-yard touchdown that grew Aurora’s lead by seven.
After Alcorn threw for his fifth touchdown on Aurora’s next drive, Rockford answered with some points of their own, marching down to Aurora’s side of the field. The Regents and first-and-goal on the Aurora 6, but were unable to find the end zone. Kavi Wadwha drilled the field goal from 18 yards out, making it 35-5.
Alcorn added another passing touchdown before the half, and Aurora went into halftime holding onto a 42-5 lead.
The Spartans added another touchdown in the third quarter, but the extra point attempt was blocked by Ahlin Gilbert.
The Spartans scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to keep growing their lead, and their defense didn’t allow any further points, sending the Spartans back to Aurora with the 61-5 win.
Alcorn finished the game completing 16 of his 24 pass attempts, recording 395 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and a pair of interceptions. His eight passing touchdowns tie the NACC single-game record. The leading rusher for Aurora and the game was Carter London, who ran for 75 yards on ten carries, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Ethan Svoboda was the leading receiver for the game, catching five passes from Alcorn for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Ryan Vasavilbaso went 23-of-37 for the Regents, throwing for 190 yards. He also led the Regents on the ground, rushing the ball seven times for 35 yards, averaging five yards per carry. The leading receiver for Rockford was Kenny Moten-Barden, who caught four passes for 92 yards.
Aurora’s defense forced a fumble, and sacked Vasavilbaso once. The Regents defense picked Alcorn off twice and sacked him four times. Braedon Hellinger led the Spartans defensively with six tackles, one of which was for a loss. Matthew Hill and Joey Alvarez both had nine tackles for Rockford.
Benedictine 42, Eureka 0
After having a bye last week, Benedictine used a big first quarter to defeat Eureka at The Village of Lisle-Benedictine Sports Complex in Lisle, Illinois, and reach 3-0 on the season, and 1-0 in NACC play. The Red Devils fall to 0-4 on the season, 0-2 in conference play, and have been held scoreless in all of their games.
The Eagles scored on the first drive of the game, marching down the field before Marcus Martin completed a 29-yard pass to Tristan Weglarz to give Benedictine the early lead.
After Eureka was forced to punt, the Eagles completed a long drive that saw them convert two separate fourth down attempts, culminating in Dino Stephens rushing it in from the one to put Benedictine up two scores.
Benedictine got another rushing touchdown later in the quarter, when Tyler Pospisil also ran it in from the one to give the Eagles a 21-0 lead.
The two teams traded punts and interceptions to start the second quarter, until Benedictine was able to grow its lead courtesy of another Pospisil rushing touchdown. The Eagles went into halftime leading 28-0.
The Red Devils started the second half by getting deep into the Eagles red zone, but Ethan Velazquez’s fourth-and-three pass attempt to Fernando Alcantara was broken up by John Thompson, and Eureka turned the ball over on downs.
Stephens’ second rushing touchdown of the game added another score for the Eagles going into the fourth quarter, and Benedictine added another touchdown in the fourth while its defense stood strong and kept Eureka off the board.
Martin completed 12 of his 20 passes, finishing with 159 passing yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Stephens led both teams in rushing with 152 yards on 16 attempts for two touchdowns and an average of 9.5 yards per carry. Jason Moore was the leading receiver of the game, hauling in four passes for 60 yards.
For the Red Devils, Velazquez went 14-of-25 through the air, with 82 yards and two interceptions. Jovountae Robinson was Eureka’s leading rusher, gaining 22 yards on just one rushing attempt. Jeremiah Washington led the team in receptions, with five catches for 30 yards.
Eureka’s defense recorded two sacks, a fumble, and an interception, while Benedictine picked off Velazquez twice. Jack Hayden and Nick Irion both had eight total tackles for the Eagles, with each player recording 1.5 tackles for losses. Eureka’s Micah Gilcrest led the game in tackles with 11.
Concordia Wisconsin 49, Lakeland 28
On the road for the first time in conference play, Concordia Wisconsin was able to hold onto an early lead and defeat Lakeland at John Taylor Field in Plymouth, Wisconsin. With the win, CUW improved to 4-0 on the season, and 2-0 in conference play, while Lakeland is now 2-2, and 1-1 in NACC play.
Concordia Wisconsin got on the board first, with Roman Funk finding Victor Watson Jr. in the end zone to give the Falcons the early lead.
The Muskies immediately answered, going 93 yards down the field to score a touchdown of their own. Carson Glosny finished the long drive by connecting with Caden Kleparski in the end zone to tie the game at seven.
A rushing touchdown by Jacob Pugh gave CUW the lead going into the second quarter, where the Falcons scored touchdowns on back-to-back drives to give themselves a 28-7 lead.
Lakeland ended the half on a strong note, with Zelmarious Banks intercepting Funk at the Muskies’ 14 and running it back 86 yards to score a touchdown for Lakeland and close the gap as time expired.
Concordia Wisconsin countered by scoring on their first drive of the third quarter, with Funk notching another touchdown through the air to Watson.
The Muskies answered once again with a long drive, this one capped off by Caleb Besaw catching a pass from Glosny in the end zone to make it a 35-21 ballgame.
CUW added to their lead before the end of the quarter, with Funk running it in himself from six yards out to grow the Falcons’ lead back to 21.
Both teams added a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and the Falcons kneeled the ball once to win the game.
Funk finished the game 12-18 through the air, with three touchdowns and one interception. Alijah Bright was the leading rusher for the Falcons and in the game as a whole, rushing the ball 15 times for 128 yards and a touchdown, averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Watson was the leading receiver for CUW, catching five passes for 84 yards and three touchdowns.
On Lakeland’s end, Glosny finished the day completing 15 of his 25 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Jontae Lambert was the leading rusher for the Muskies, gaining 49 yards on eight attempts for an average of 6.1 yards per carry. Besaw was the leading receiver for the game, finishing with 8 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Concordia Wisconsin’s defense picked off Lakeland QBs four times, recorded two sacks, and forced a fumble. Lakeland’s defense picked off Funk once. Brady Messick led the Falcons with six tackles, including a half-sack. Trayvonne Roberts on the Muskies had a game-high nine tackles, eight of which were solo, and Kenyon Peoples added a pair of tackles for losses for Lakeland.
St. Norbert 28, Wisconsin Lutheran 14
In the closest NACC matchup of the week, St. Norbert scored 21 points in the third quarter against Wisconsin Lutheran to pick up its second win of the season at Donald J. Schneider Stadium in De Pere, Wisconsin. The win moved St. Norbert to 2-2 on the season, and 2-0 in conference play, while Wisconsin Lutheran also sits at 2-2, but 0-2 in conference play.
The Green Knights struck first in the game when Jacob McVane finished a 68-yard drive by rushing it in from eight yards out to put St. Norbert on the board first.
The two teams traded the ball back and forth for much of the second quarter, until Tyler Juergensen missed a 45-yard field goal for the Green Knights with 15 seconds left in the half.
After the Green Knights doubled their lead with a passing touchdown to start the half, the Warriors answered with a touchdown of their own, Roman Morales connecting with Keith Johnson for an 86-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-7.
The two teams then once again traded touchdowns, with Caleb Sprutles finding Adam Westberg for a 64-yard touchdown before Morales threw a second passing touchdown to again cut the Green Knights’ lead to seven.
On the ensuing kickoff following Wisconsin Lutheran’s touchdown, McVane ran the kickoff back 88 yards to give the Green Knights a 28-14 lead.
Neither team would score in the fourth quarter, as a series of punts, turnovers on downs, and a missed field goal by St. Norbert would keep the score where it was.
Sprutles went 14-of-22, with 198 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. McVane was the leading rusher of the game, picking up 87 yards on 26 attempts, averaging 3.3 yards per carry and adding a rushing touchdown to go along with his kick return touchdown. Westberg was the leading receiver for the game, hauling in six passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
Morales completed 16 of his 30 passes for the Warriors, throwing for 218 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Liam Heighes rushed for 54 yards on 14 attempts, averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Johnson was the leading receiver for WLC, catching the one touchdown pass for 86 yards.
The Green Knights defense picked off Morales twice, sacked him once, and forced a fumble. Wisconsin Lutheran’s defense sacked Sprutles once. John Seitz led St. Norbert with ten tackles and a sack. Landon Bryant had ten tackles for WLC, eight of which were solo tackles.
