VERONA, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Third-seeded Milwaukee School of Engineering scored two first-half goals and weathered a late rally to defeat top-seeded Edgewood University, 2-1, in the final of the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Soccer Tournament Saturday at Reddan Soccer Complex.
It is the third consecutive NACC Tournament title for the Raiders (13-4-4) and sixth in program history, and denied the league champion Eagles (12-6-3) their first tournament crown since joining the Northern Athletics Conference as a founding member in 2006.
With the victory, MSOE also received the NACC's automatic berth in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. The Raiders will learn their championship path and initial opponent on the official NCAA Selection Show slated for 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9.
No. 3 MSOE 2, No. 1 Edgewood 1
The two sides traded shots throughout the first half, and with exactly 36 minutes having gone by, the Raiders got on the board first. Owen Pacetti found the back of the goal for MSOE, giving the Raiders the lead. Filip Aniecko and Nico Picha both had an assist on the play.
Six minutes later, the Raiders doubled their lead, with Lachlan Ladd sending one past Edgewood goalkeeper Ezra Wallace off assists from Juan Pablo Escobar and Aniecko.
Each team took another shot before halftime, but both were off-target, sending the two teams into halftime with MSOE holding the 2-0 lead.
Both teams came out of the break firing, sending a volley of shots back and forth. With less than 20 minutes left in the game, Riley Kann scored a goal for Edgewood, cutting the Raiders’ lead to 2-1.
MSOE’s defense was able to shut the Eagles down after that, allowing just two more shots by the Eagles, only one of which was on goal. Cristian Torres-Gale’s shot was sent to the bottom left corner of the goal, but Dershem was able to get to the ball in time, keeping the Raiders’ lead - and the win - intact.
MSOE outshot Edgewood, 16-12, with both teams recording six shots on goal. Diego Gonzalo led the Raiders with three shots, one of which was on goal. Arjun Kaushik, Neo Najjar, Beckahm Murrow, Isaiah Stiebel, and Kann all had two shots apiece to lead the Eagles.
Defensively, Christian Dershem made five saves for MSOE, while Wallace made three. The Raiders had seven corner kicks compared to Edgewood’s three, and MSOE was whistled for being offsides three times, with the Eagles being whistled for it once.
