SNC's Maranell Earns First Team All-America Honors as NCAA Championships Conclude

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (naccsports.org) --- St. Norbert College's Eden Maranell captured first-team all-America honors with a seventh-place finish in the triple jump Saturday as the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships concluded at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Maranell leapt 11.73 meters (38-6) on her second attempt of the day, advancing to finals in the ninth and final qualifying spot. She improved her mark to 12.05 meters (39-6 1/2) on her final attempt to move up to seventh place. Maranell's final jump also broke her own NACC all-time mark of 11.93 meters (39-1 3/4) set at last year's NCAA Championships.

Fellow Green Knight Jacob Klitzke just missed first team all-America honors in the shot put. He qualified for finals with a toss of 16.70 meters (54-9 1/2) on his final preliminary throw but was unable to improve on the mark and place ninth to secure second team all-America honors.

Milwaukee School of Engineering's Josephine Jacklin and Jessa Alderman both earned second team all-America honors in the women's shot put as Jacklin finished 11th (13.27m; 43-6 1/2) and Aldererman took 13th (13.14m; 43-1 1/2).

The final NACC competitor of the day - St. Norbert's Ezra Schermacher - was unable to clear the opening height of 1.98 meters (6-6) in the men's high jump competition.

The top eight finishers in each individual event and relay receive First Team All-America honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), while those placing ninth through 16th in individual events and ninth and tenth in relays earn second-team honors.
