MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology freshman Tanay Sharma (Ahmedabad, India) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 16-22, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is Sharma's second NACC weekly honor this season.

Sharma, a freshman, went 4-1 in Illinois Tech's three matches in Florida on Spring Break. He went 1-1 at No. 1 singles, posting a 7-5, 6-3 win over Davi Savi of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Sharma paired with Alexander Feher for a perfect 3-0 record at No. 1 doubles, recording wins over Mary Hardin-Baylor (6-4), Scranton (6-2), and UW-La Crosse (6-3). Feher and Sharma have recorded a 9-1 mark at No. 1 doubles this season, best amongst NACC tandems who have played at least three matches together.
