Ammar Brzovic (Wheaton, Ill.) and Dominican University junior
Thomas Hirsch (Boise, Idaho) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 22-29, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
This is the four NACC weekly honor this season for Hirsch.
Defense --- Ammar Brzovic, Sr., MH, Aurora University
Brzovic, a senior middle, had a strong week for the Spartans, who swept both Concordia Chicago and Edgewood in NACC matches and were edged by then-No. 11 UC Santa Cruz in a five-setter. He collected 14 block assists across the three matches, averaging 1.75 blocks per set. Nine of those 14 block assists came against the Banana Slugs, while the remaining five came against Edgewood.
Offense --- Thomas Hirsch, Jr., MB, Dominican University
Hirsch, a junior middle, collected 33 kills across three matches while hitting .674 as the Stars sandwiched 3-0 NACC road wins over Concordia Wisconsin and Marian around a 3-1 win over No. 11 UC Santa Cruz. He collected 11 kills while hitting .667 with four service aces against the Falcons. Against the Banana Slugs, Hirsch had nine kills and an ace while again hitting .667. He wrapped the weekend with 13 kills without an error against the Sabres. Hirsch finished the week with six service aces and seven blocks (one solo).
