LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Aurora University men's volleyball student-athlete
Josh McLellan was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Men's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 15.
McLellann earned the honor after he helped lead Aurora to a 5-0 week with two wins over ranked opponents in California and a pair of wins in the NACC. The Spartans defeated No. 5 Cal Lutheran (3-2) and No. 18 Baldwin-Wallace (3-0) while also adding wins over Kean (3-2), Concordia Wisconsin (3-1) and Lakeland (3-1).
He had 75 kills in the five matches, averaging 3.57 per set and hit .359. He had a high of 20 kills to start the week in the win over Kean and added 18 against CUW and had a attack percentage best .625 in the 3-0 win over ranked Baldwin-Wallace.
Next action for the Spartan men's volleyball team comes on Wednesday, March 18 when they host Dominican University with opening serve slated for 7:00 p.m. In Thornton Gymnasium.
