MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its major awards and all-conference team for the 2026 men's volleyball season.

Callan Harris was named NACC Player of the Year, while Benedictine University senior libero
Jordan Cardenas was named NACC Defensive Player of the Year, and Edgewood University outside hitter
Cade Schueller was named NACC Freshman of the Year. Additionally, Milwaukee School of Engineering was recognized as the NACC Coaching Staff of the Year.
All of this year's honors were selected by the league's head coaches.
NACC Player of the Year --- Callan Harris, Jr., OPP, Milwaukee School of Engineering
Harris, a junior opposite, has appeared in 23 of 26 matches for the Raiders this season, accumulating 307 kills, 179 digs, 41 blocks (11 solo), 24 service aces, and 18 assists, while recording a .286 hitting percentage.
Harris registered double-digit figures in kills 17 times, recording a season-best total of 22 twice - Jan. 23 against Loras and Feb. 7 at Augustana (Ill.). He also had 21 kills Feb. 20 against Cal Lutheran. Harris finished with six double-doubles, registering a season-high 20 digs in an April 1 win against St. Norbert. Additionally, he had a season-best five aces as part of a 16-kill, 13-dig double-double against Wisconsin Lutheran, and a season-best six blocks (three solos) as part of an 18-kill performance against Marian.
Through Tuesday's NACC quarterfinal matches, Harris ranks second among NACC student-athletes in kills (3.65) and points (4.25) per set, seventh in attacks per set (8.20), 15th in aces per set (0.29), 16th in digs per set (2.13), and 17th in hitting percentage (.286).
Harris is the second MSOE student-athlete to be named NACC Player of the Year, joining
Quin Krisik in 2019.
NACC Defensive Player of the Year --- Jordan Cardenas, Sr., L, Benedictine University
Cardenas, a senior libero, has appeared in all 26 of Benedictine's matches headed into this weekend's NACC Tournament semifinals. He currently leads all NACC student-athletes and ranks 10th in NCAA Division III in digs per set (3.07). Cardenas' current total of 296 digs is roughly 25% more than the next highest total by a NACC player. He also posted 32 assists.
Cardenas recorded at least five digs in each match this season, recording double-digits on 15 occasions. He posted a NACC season-best total of 24 digs in a four-set win over UC Santa Cruz on March 26.
Cardenas is the fourth Benedictine student-athlete to be named NACC Defensive Player of the Year in the last six seasons (
Chase Olson, 2021;
Kyle Vasquez, 2022 & 2023).
NACC Freshman of the Year - Cade Schueller, Fr., OH, Edgewood University
Schueller, an outside hitter, participated in all 24 of Edgewood's matches this season, recording a team-high 263 kills. He also posted 153 digs, 33.0 blocks (eight solo), 21 assists, and 11 service aces.
Schueller reached double-digits in kills on 16 occasions, including a season-high 21 in a five-set win over Concordia Wisconsin on March 14. He also had six matches with 10 or more digs, including a season-best 15 as part of a 19-kill, 15-dig double-double in a five-set win at Concordia Chicago on Feb. 26. Schueller finished with a total of four double-doubles.
Schueller ranks sixth among NACC student-athletes in attacks per set (8.33), 12th in kills per set (3.02), 14th in points per set (3.39), and 20th in hitting percentage (.258).
This is the first NACC major award for Edgewood in the sport of men's volleyball.
NACC Coaching Staff of the Year - Milwaukee School of Engineering (Shane Reid, head coach)
MSOE, led by 11th-year head coach
Shane Reid, has posted a 20-6 record overall through April 7 and won the program's first NACC title with a perfect 12-0 mark. It is the third time Reid has led the Raiders to a 20-win season (2017, 2019, 2026). MSOE leads NCAA Division III with 12.38 assists per set and rank fourth in kills per set at 13.14. The Raiders also rank second among NACC programs in aces per set (1.73) and third in hitting percentage (.279), with the latter mark also ranking 16th nationally.
MSOE has been ranked in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Coaches' Poll most of the season, peaking at No. 13 in the most recent edition released Tuesday, April 7.

This is the third time overall - and second season in succession - that Reid or a Reid-led staff has been recognized by the league's head coaches.
All-Conference Teams Announced
Eleven of 13 NACC programs landed at least one student-athlete on one of the two 12-member all-conference teams, led by a league-best five honorees for Benedictine University. Aurora University, Dominican University, and Milwaukee School of Engineering each had four selections, with Aurora, Benedictine, and Dominican each placing three on the first team.
MSOE had its four honorees split evenly between the first and second teams, while Wisconisn Lutheran College secured the final first-team spot. Concordia University Chicago, Concordia University Wisconsin, Edgewood University, Illinois Institute of Technology, Marian University, and St. Norbert College had one second-team selection apiece.
