MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Week two of the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) football season is now in the books and the nonconference portion of the schedule is now behind all nine programs.

All nine NACC programs were in action on Saturday, Sept. 12, registering a 5-4 mark overall. Four programs remain undefeated entering league play and another broke into the win column, while four others are still seeking that elusive first victory of the season.

Benedictine 28, Loras 25
After picking up a dominant win in week one, it looked like Benedictine would follow it up with a second consecutive blowout win. The Eagles put a pair of touchdowns on the board early at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex, and took a 14-0 lead into the second quarter on the back of a rushing touchdown by Dino Stephens and a 63 yard passing touchdown from Marcus Martin to Santino Florio.

But in the second quarter, the Loras defense stood strong, and were able to force an interception by Martin. The Duhawks offense went down the field, and Joey Helminiak found Isaac Oster on a deep touchdown pass to cut the lead in half. The Eagles missed a field goal to end the half, and Benedictine went into half up 14-7.

Loras wasted no time in the second half, and scored on their first possession to tie the game at 14. The Duhawks defense then forced a safety, and Loras was suddenly up 16-14.

Benedictine was able to answer with a long drive, and Stephens ran it in 18 yards out for his second touchdown of the day to get the lead back for the Eagles.

Loras kicked a field goal to cut the lead to two, forced a punt by the Eagles, then Eric David rushed for a 42 yard touchdown to give the Duhawks the lead back. They failed to convert the two-point conversion, so the Duhawks were only up 25-21.

Benedictine had less than three minutes to get a touchdown, and they were able to do so, with Martin finding Jason Moore in the end zone with 18 seconds left to win the game for Benedictine.

Benedictine had the leaders in all the offensive stats. Martin went 23-31 for 288 yards, with a pair of touchdown passes and an interception. Stephens had 22 rushing attempts for a total of 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Florio had just six receptions for a massive 123 yards and a touchdown.

On defense, the Eagles had a sack and an interception.

Concordia Chicago 42, Grinnell 7
Concordia Chicago kept its winning ways going with a second consecutive blowout win to start the season. It was a low-scoring affair to start at Concordia Stadium, until the Cougars pieced together a five-minute drive near the end of the first half that was capped off by Dominick Jolley running it in from the 15 to pick up his first career rushing touchdown.

Colton Bosch found Wesley Jackson for a 13 yard touchdown just four seconds into the second quarter, doubling the Cougars lead. The two teams traded punts for a bit, until Korey Randle took a shovel pass 88 yards to the house to put the Cougars up 21-0.

Grinnell muffed the kickoff, and the Cougars immediately found the end zone again, and CUC went into the half up 28-0.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, although the Cougars defense did make a nice stand. The Pioneers had a first and goal on the Cougars 2, but the Cougars defense stuffed the run four straight times to turn the Pioneers away.

Joron Brown had a five yard rushing touchdown just 15 seconds into the fourth, and the Cougars now had a five score lead. Phoenyx Wright added another rushing touchdown for the Cougars about seven minutes later, and the Cougars went up 42-0.

The Pioneers finally found the end zone with 33 seconds left in the game to avoid the shutout, and the Cougars ran the clock out for the dominant win.

Bosch went 11-17 for 196 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Clark led the Cougars in rushing yards, getting 70 yards on eight attempts to average 8.8 yards per carry. Andre Lopez of the Pioneers had the most yards on the ground overall, gaining 98 yards on 20 attempts. Korey Randle led both teams in receiving yards, getting 122 yards on just three receptions, with 88 of them coming off the shovel pass TD.

The Cougars defense forced a fumble and an interception, and sacked Pioneers QB Will Weber once.

Concordia Wisconsin 48, Martin Luther 13
Concordia Wisconsin also picked up their second straight dominant win, this time blowing past the Knights with ease at Tomasini Stadium. Concordia Wisconsin picked up a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, as the Roman Funk to Jack Bradley connection found the end zone twice.

Martin Luther found the end zone themselves just under 30 seconds into the second quarter, but the extra point attempt was blocked by Max Michonski to keep the Falcons up 14-6.

The Falcons kicked a field goal just under four minutes later, and then forced a punt by the Knights. CUW went to work again, and Funk found Bradely for the third time to put Concordia Wisconsin up 24-6 going into halftime.

CUW scored on their first drive of the second half to go up 31-6, and added another field goal in the quarter to give themselves a 34-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Funk connected with Kam’Ron Pierre just 45 seconds into the fourth quarter to add another touchdown to the Falcons’ lead, before the Knights were finally able to answer with another touchdown of their own.

Alijah Bright picked up another touchdown for the Falcons, and Concordia Wisconsin closed out the game with another dominant win.

Funk had an outstanding day at QB, going 25-35 with 380 yards and five touchdowns. Jacon Pugh had 16 attempts on the ground for 69 yards, an average of 4.3 per carry. Bradley pulled in seven receptions for 154 yards and a trio of touchdowns.

Wisconsin Lutheran 25, Ripon 24
After a relatively easy win in week one, Wisconsin Lutheran went down early against Ripon, and found themselves trailing 14-0 halfway through the second quarter at Raabe Stadium. The Warriors got on the board with just over two minutes left in the half, when Roman Morales found Jakota Hase on a 29 yard touchdown pass. The extra point attempt was blocked, and the Red Hawks stayed ahead 14-6.

Ripon would hit a field goal as time expired, and head into halftime with a 17-6 lead. The Warriors scored on their first drive of the third quarter, when Morales found Hase a second time, this time for a 49 yard touchdown. The two-point conversion failed, and WLC was still down 17-12.

Ripon put a rushing touchdown on the board with less than a minute to go in the quarter, and Wisconsin Lutheran was trailing 24-12 with just 15 more minutes of football left to play.

After his defense forced an interception in Ripon territory, Morales connected with Hase for a third time to cut the Red Hawks lead to five. Seven minutes later, the Morales to Hase connected found gold for a fourth time, and the Warriors went up 25-24. The two-point conversion attempt failed for a second time in the game, but the Warriors had their first lead of the game.

The Warriors defense forced a turnover on downs, and then Wisconsin Lutheran was able to kneel the ball to end the game and escape with the comeback win.

Morales had four passing touchdowns and no interceptions, going 18-30 for 215 yards. Liam Heiges gained 122 yards on 20 rushing attempts for the Warriors, averaging 6.1 yards per rush. Hase was on the other end of all four of Morales’s passing touchdowns, getting 138 yards on just seven receptions.

The Warriors defense forced a pair of interceptions, and also sacked Ripon quarterback Jack Berens twice.

Lakeland 41, Greenville 20
After suffering a defeat in week one, Lakeland was able to bounce back with a dominant win over Greenville. After a mostly quiet first quarter, Jontae Lambert ran it in from one yard out to put Lakeland on the board first with less than a minute to go in the first quarter.

Greenville answered with a rushing touchdown of their own to start the second quarter, but the extra point was missed, keeping the Muskies ahead by one.

Then the Lakeland offense really went to work, scoring three touchdowns in the span of roughly three minutes to suddenly put themselves ahead 28-6.

The Muskies added another passing touchdown from Carson Glosny to Caleb Besaw to add another six before the half, although the extra point was missed. The Muskies went into halftime up 34-6.

Lakeland didn’t add any points to the scoreboard in the third, although Greenville did get another touchdown with just about three minutes left to cut the lead to 21 going into the fourth quarter.

Both teams added another touchdown in the fourth quarter, and Lakeland was able to pick up a strong win going into conference play.

Carson Glosny completed 16 of his 27 passing attempts, getting 134 yards through the air for three touchdowns and an interception. Jontae Lambert had an excellent game on the ground, rushing 97 yards on fifteen attempts for an average of 6.5 per carry. He also found the end zone three times. Deshawn Hampton was the leading receiver for the Muskies, gaining 47 yards on four receptions.

Mount St. Joseph 49, Aurora 21
Aurora tried to get back to their winning ways, and did a good job hanging with Mount St. Joseph in the first quarter. After MSJ struck first with a touchdown, Aurora answered in front of a partisan crowd at Spartan Stadium, with Jackson Alcorn finding Carter London from six yards out to tie the game at seven.

Mount St. Joseph scored another touchdown, and the Spartans answered again, with Alcorn taking it himself for a 23 yard rushing touchdown to once again tie the game.

The Lions scored another touchdown, and the Spartans went into the second quarter trailing by seven. The Spartans were unable to put points on the board in the second quarter, and the Lions were able to add another touchdown of their own to go into halftime up 28-14.

Aurora struck first in the third quarter, stringing together a long drive that culminated in a 2 yard rushing touchdown from Kohen Blount to cut the Lions’ lead to seven.

The Spartans wouldn’t be able to score for the rest of the game, and the Lions would add another three touchdowns across the third and fourth quarters to pull away with the 28-point win.

Alcorn went 24-for-47, finishing with 259 yards through the air and a touchdown and an interception. He also led the Spartans in rushing, running nine times for 61 yards and another touchdown, averaging 6.8 yards per carry. Meka Phillips led Aurora in receptions, catching three passes for 91 yards.

The Spartans defense forced a fumble, and sacked Lions QB Jaxon Schreiber four times.

Westminster (Mo.) 41, Eureka 0
After getting shut out by Knox College in week one, Eureka was once again struggled to find the end zone against visiting Westminster in week two. Westminster scored 24 points in the first half, and Eureka punted four times before turning the ball over on downs at midfield with just over a minute left in the second quarter.

The Red Devils punted five times in the second half, and Westminster added a pair of touchdowns and a field goal to pull away with the 41-0 win.

Eureka managed just 39 total yards of offense in the game, and 27 of them came from Garryon Henderson, who completed five of his nine pass attempts. He had no touchdowns or interceptions. The leading rusher for the Red Devils was Jayden Crowder, who gained 24 yards on four attempts, at an average of six per carry. Detrick Miller also caught two passes for 14 yards.

The Red Devils defense did sack Westminster QB Trey Thomas twice for a loss of eleven yards.

Elmhurst 28, Rockford 14
After falling by two to Beloit College in week one, Rockford found itself unable to overcome an 13-point first-quarter deficit against visting Elmhurst in week two. Elmhurst found the end zone first at Sam Greeley Field, but Rockford blocked the extra point attempt to keep it a 6-0 Blue Jays lead.

Regents QB Ben Parker fumbled the ball at the Rockford 15, and an Elmhurst scoop-and-score put the Blue Jays up 13-0 as time expired in the first quarter.

The two teams traded the ball back and forth in the second quarter, and Ryan Vasavilbaso found Kenny Moten-Barden to get Rockford on the board and cut the Blue Jays lead in half with just over two minutes left in the second quarter.

Elmhurst responded quickly, and were able to score another touchdown and convert a two-point conversion to take a 21-7 lead into the second half.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Brandon Edwards started the fourth quarter by running it in from two yards out to once again cut the Blue Jays lead in half.

Elmhurst was able to score their first points of the half on a passing touchdown with just over two minutes left in the game, and that would be all the Blue Jays would need, as they forced a final turnover on downs to seal the win.

Vasavilbaso played the majority of the game at QB for the Regents, and completed 24 of his 34 passing attempts. He finished with 214 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. Malik Gordon was the leader on the ground for Rockford, gaining 21 yards on 11 attempts for an average of 1.9 yards per carry. Napoleon Williams was their leading receiver, catching 15 passes for 96 yards.

Rockford’s defense was able to sack Blue Jays QB Justin Carlson twice.

Calvin 49, St. Norbert 7
St. Norbert tried to bounce back from their week one loss by picking up a win heading into conference play, but Calvin University used a big first quarter to pull ahead. Calvin got a 68-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game, but failed to convert a two-point conversion.

St. Norbert needed just two plays to respond with a touchdown of their own, as Fernando Rodriguez completed a 70 yard touchdown pass to Nick White to put the Green Knights up 7-6. Those would be the last points St. Norbert would score in the game.

Calvin scored another three touchdowns in the first quarter, failing to convert a two-point conversion and having an extra point attempt blocked to take a 25-7 lead into the second quarter.

The Knights added on another pair of touchdowns in the second quarter, and were able to go into halftime with the 39-7 lead.

Calvin added a field goal and a touchdown in the third quarter, to go up 49-7, and that is where the score would stay. The Knights essentially ran the ball out for the final ten minutes of the fourth quarter, and St. Norbert fell to 0-2 entering NACC play.

Rodriguez completed 12 of his 20 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown, and a pair of interceptions. He was also the leading rusher for the Green Knights, managing seven yards on eleven attempts, for an average of 0.6 yards per carry. Nick White led St. Norbert in receptions, making three catches for 88 yards and a touchdown.

The Green Knights defense sacked Calvin QB Thomas Vaccaro once, and also forced an interception.
