MILWAUKEE, Wis. --- Ben Williams has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) coordinator of baseball umpires, effective immediately.
 
Williams is an experienced NCAA umpire with a proven track record across Divisions I, II, and III. His postseason achievements are highlighted by serving as one of two Crew Chiefs at the 2022 NCAA Division III College World Series, alongside assignments in Super Regionals (2019, 2022), Regionals (2018, 2019, 2021), and numerous conference tournaments in Division II and Division III.

"His extensive experience across all three NCAA divisions—including numerous postseason assignments and service as a crew chief at the Division III College World Series—gives him a deep understanding of the standards required at the highest levels of collegiate baseball. "
 
At the Division I level, he currently works within the Mid-American Conference, Missouri Valley Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, and Horizon League, while also making regular non-conference appearances in the Big Ten Conference. In addition to his work on the field, Williams serves as a coordinator and clinician for the Great Lakes and Rivers Umpire Consortium, leading training and development during their annual fall camp series.
 
Williams also serves as the coordinator of baseball umpires for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. He resides in Channahon, Ill., and earned a bachelor’s degree in special education from Eastern Illinois University and master’s degree in education leadership from Concordia University Chicago (Ill.).
