INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee has announced the 64 teams that will compete for the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship

This year’s championship begins with regional first-round matches on Thursday, Nov. 21. The final eight teams will battle for the championship from Dec. 4-7 at the Cregger Center in Salem, Virginia.

Edgewood College, fresh off its second consecutive Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference women's volleyball tournament title, has been assigned to a regional hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and will face University of Wisconsin-Platteville in a first-round match at 11:30 a.m. Thursday inside the Kris Russell Volleyball Arena.

The Eagles (24-9) and Pioneers (25-6) met during the first week of the regular season with UW-Platteville picking up a 3-0 victory at the Todd Wehr Edgedome in Madison.

Edgewood is in the NCAA Tournament for the third time (2011, 2023), while Platteville is making its eighth NCAA appearance but first since 2010. The Pioneers are 3-7 all-time in NCAA tournament play.

The winner of Thursday's match will face the winner of a match pitting Washington University in St. Louis (28-6) against the College of Saint Benedict (15-11). WashU tied for second place in the University Athletic Association with a 5-2 league mark. The UAA does not conduct a conference tournament. Saint Benedict won the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoff Championship as a No. 4 seed, dispatching top-seeded Gustavus Adolphus in the semifinals before steamrolling No. 2-seeded St. Catherine, 3-0, in the final.

The other side of the regional bracket features Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tournament champion UW-Whitewater (26-3) going against North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament champion Ohio Wesleyan (16-12) and Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) champion Northwestern-St. Paul facing UW-Eau Claire (20-8).
