Illinois Tech Draws Grove City (Pa.) in NCAA Women's Soccer First-Round Match

INDIANAPOLIS — Illinois Institute of Technology was selected to represent the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship as the field of 64 teams was announced by the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Committee Monday (Nov. 10).

The Scarlet Hawks (19-1-1), winners of the NACC regular-season and tournament crowns, will face Grove CIty College (13-4-2) in a first-round contest at noon CT on Friday, Nov. 14, at Zuidema Field on the campus of Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Wolverines of Grove City, Pennsylvania, qualified for the field by winning the automatic berth out of the Presidents Athletic Conference.

Penn State Behrend (15-3-2) will face regional host Calvin (14-4-0) at 2:30 p.m. CT in the other first-round contest. Behrend qualified as the champions of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, while Calvin won the automatic berth from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Friday's winners will face off at 2 p.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 15 for a berth in the sectional round of the championships.

Forty-three conferences were awarded automatic qualification for the 2025 championship. The other 21 berths were reserved for at-large selections designated by the NPI.

Sixteen four-team sites will conduct first- and second-round play on the first weekend of the championship, November 14 and 15 or 15 and 16. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites November 21 and 22 or 22 and 23. All games, except the semifinals and final, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions.

Winners of the four sectionals will advance to the semifinals December 4 and 6, at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia, with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the City of Salem serving as hosts.
