Concordia Wisconsin Falls to Coe in NCAA Football Opener

MEQUON, Wis. – An amazing season came to an end for the Concordia Wisconsin football team. The Falcons hosted the first-ever home NCAA Division III Football Playoff game on the campus on Saturday afternoon against the No. 24-ranked Kohawks of Coe College. The visitors advanced with a 44-7 victory.

The lone Concordia scoring drive on the afternoon was capped off by a two-yard rush for junior Jacob Pugh.

CUW came up with a turnover after junior Devin Glowicki forced a fumble deep in the Concordia zone that was recovered by freshman Kaleb Weikel.

Senior Marquiton Sellers showed why he was named the best in the NACC with two tackles for a loss, including a sack.

Senior Ashar Thomas capped off his amazing CUW career on Saturday with 85 yards on the ground.

Junior Roman Funk threw for 175 yards, 41 of those to sophomore Jack Bradley.

The Falcons finish their season with a stellar 9-2 record and an undefeated record in the NACC at 8-0.

Coe will face Bethel Universty next Saturday in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
