MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's
Ryan Broeckel (Chilton, Wis.) has been named a First Team All-American by D3hoops.com, the organization announced on Saturday ahead of the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournamment Championship game.
This marks the first D3hoops.com All-American honor for Broeckel, who has previously been selected First Team All-American, Second Team All-American, and Third Team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Broeckel, who was recently named NABC Second Team All-American, D3hoops.com Region VIII Player of the Year, D3hoops.com First Team All-Region VIII, and NABC First Team All-District VIII, was one of five players selected to the D3hoops.com First Team.
The three-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Player of the Year averaged 18.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game. He ranked in the top 25 nationally in blocks (20th/27) and total rebounds (20th/270). Additionally, Broeckel topped all NACC players in field goals (210), field goal attempts (429), and offensive rebounds per game (3.26), and ranked second in blocks, double-doubles (11), points (560), and rebounds.
Broeckel, who participated in today's NABC Division III All-Star Game, finished his WLC career as the all-time leader in rebounds (889) and blocked shots (175), and ranked eighth in scoring (1,698 points).
