MSOE Completes Undefeated Run Through NACC Baseball Tourmament

GLENDALE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Milwaukee School of Engineering defeated Edgewood College, 10-0, in seven innings Saturday afternoon at MSOE Raiders Stadium to capture the 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Baseball Tournament title and the associated automatic berth in the upcoming NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.

The top-seeded Raiders (27-16) had advanced to the final with a 10-6 win over the sixth-seeded Eagles in Friday's winner's bracket final. Edgewood needed to scratch out an 8-6 win over No. 2-seed Aurora University in an elimination game to start Saturday's play.

The field for the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship will be announced at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12 on an NCAA.com selection show.

Game 10: MSOE 10, Edgewood 0 (7 innings)
After retiring Edgewood in order to open the game, MSOE wasted no time getting its offense going. Jake Kalitowski led off the Raiders' half of the first with a single to center, then stole second base before coming home on a two-run blast to left field by AJ Le.

Each side stranded a runner in the third inning. MSOE then loaded the bases in the fourth, but Edgewood starting pitcher Mark Tor was able to get out of the jam without any damage. In the fifth, however, Tor was lifted in favor of Jake Lueptow. Lueptow got a flyout with his first batter, then conceded three straight singles - the last of which came off the bat of AJ Le and plated two. Le then scored one batter later on an RBI single to right field by Jordan Skolmar to push the advantage to 5-0.

Le reached on a one-out single to left field in the seventh, kicking off a string of four straight singles that plated two. After another Edgewood pitching change, Jake Franks was hit by a pitch to load the bases. An ensuing fielder's choice erased Franks at second but scored Kyle Mayberry from third to make it 8-0 MSOE. The next batter, Jake Kalitowski, then lofted a single to right field to score Charlie Claas and JJ Jackson to bring an end to the proceedings.

The Raiders posted 14 hits, including three from Kalitowski out of the leadoff spot. Le added a 3-for-3 effort with three RBIs and three runs scored, while Skolmar and Mayberry each had two hits.

Zach Brzezinski (3-0) threw a complete-game one-hitter to get the win for MSOE, allowing just a single to Colby Davis in the third inning. Brzezinski struck out four Eagles.

Four Edgewood pitchers gave up 10 runs on 14 hits with Tor taking the loss.
