LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Fourteen Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) volleyball programs - five men's and nine women's - are among the record-breaking 1,450 collegiate and high school programs to earn the 2025 Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
To qualify for the award, programs must maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).
Four institutions - Aurora University, Concordia University Wisconsin, Edgewood College (now University), and St. Norbert College - had both their men's and women's programs recognized. Also acknowledged was the Dominican University men's program and women's programs from Benedictine University, Concordia University Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology, Lakeland University, and Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Additionally, the Aurora University men's program received additional distinction by their placement on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, which celebrates programs in the top 20% of GPAs for their division.
The Edgewood women's program has the longest active streak of Team Academic Awards amongst NACC programs at 15 years.
