CUW's Lubner, St. Norbert Trio Earn NACC Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Concordia University Wisconsin junior Isaiah Lubner (men's track) and the St. Norbert College trio of senior Ezra Schermacher (men's field), junior Eden Maranell (women's field), and freshman Kayla Wesaw (women's track) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 19-25, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is the second consecutve weekly honor for Lubner and the third this season for Maranell.

Men's Field --- Ezra Schermacher, Sr., St. Norbert College
Schermacher, a senior from Plymouth, Wisconsin, set a NACC season-best in the pole vault by clearing 4.73 meters (15-6 1/4) to place fourth at the multi-divisional Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis. His mark currently ranks 18th on the NCAA Division III performance list. Schermacher also placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.94 meters (6-4 1/4).

Men's Track --- Isaiah Lubner, Jr., Concordia University Wisconsin
Lubner, a junior from Campbellsport, Wisconsin, broke his indoor program record in the 800-meter run, winning the title at the Aurora Grand Prix with a time of 1:52.63. The time currently ranks fifth on the NCAA Division III performance list.

Women's Field --- Eden Maranell, Jr., St. Norbert College
Maranell, a junior from Howards Grove, Wisconsin, recorded a NACC season-best in the long jump by clearing 5.60 meters (18-4 1/2) to place eighth at the multi-divisional Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis.

Women's Track --- Kayla Wesaw, Fr., St. Norbert College
Wesaw, a freshman from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, set the NACC's second-best time in the 5000-meter run this season, clocking in at 19:37.34 to finish fifth at the multi-divisional Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis. Wesaw was the top non-NCAA Division I finisher, placing behind a quartet from Indiana State University.
