MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University sophomore Izabella Kowalczyk (Lemont, Ill.) and Edgewood University senior Shannon Rusch (Edgerton, Wis.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is the second NACC weekly honor this season for Kowalczyk.

Defense --- Shannon Rusch, Sr., OH, Edgewood University
Rusch, a senior outside hitter, totaled 6.25 digs per set across three contests for Edgewood. She opened the week with 28 digs at No. 19 Dubuque, then followed that up with 15 digs in a sweep of Concordia Chicago and a career-best 32 digs in a 3-1 win at Concordia Wisconsin.

Offense --- Izabella Kowalczyk, So., PIN, Aurora University
Kowalczyk, a sophomore outside hitter, had an incredible two matches for Aurora on a week that the Spartans went 4-0. In wins over Wheaton College and Lakeland University, Kowalczyk had 20 kills in both contests and finished with 6.67 kills per set and hit .297 on the week. She also added three services aces.
