NACC Baseball Weekly Honors to BenU's Behrens, Rockford's Taylor

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Benedictine University freshman Braden Behrens (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) and Rockford University junior Marcus Taylor (East Chicago, Ind.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 9-15, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Pitcher --- Braden Behrens, Fr., RHP, Benedictine University
Behrens, a freshman right-handed pitcher, won both of his starts during the week. He finished with a 2-0 mark and an 0.00 earned-run average. Behrens allowed just five hits in a 7-0 complete-game shutout of Western New England, then worked seven innings and allowed just one unearned run in a 3-1 win over Worcester State. He finished the week with 11 strikeouts over 16 innings, including seven against Worcester State.

Position Player --- Marcus Taylor, Jr., OF, Rockford University
Taylor, a junior outfielder, batted .550 (11-of-20) across six games as the Regents went 4-2. He recorded 11 hits, three home runs, seven RBIs, two doubles, drew two walks, and scored eight runs while slugging 1.100 and posting a .591 on-base percentage. Taylor opened the week with a 3-for-5 effort with a home run and three RBIs in a wild 12-11 win over Skidmore. He had at least two hits in each game of a three-game set against Skidmore, including two home runs and a double.
