INDIANAPOLIS --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has qualified 11 entries for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The field of competitors was announced Sunday evening by the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee. The championships will be held March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, with the Southern Athletic Association and the Birmingham CrossPlex serving as hosts.
St. Norbert College qualified a conference-best five entries, led by double qualifiers Ezra Schermacher in the men's high jump and men's pole vault and Eden Maranell in the women's triple jump and pentathlon. Jacob Klitzke also qualified in the men's shot put.
Milwaukee School of Engineering is sending the highest number of individuals to the national meet as Austin Springer qualified in the men's 800-meter run, Daniel Geerts made the field in the men's 60 hurdles, and both Jessa Alderman and Josephine Jacklin qualified in the women's shot put. Alderman takes the highest-ranked seed mark into the national meet, ranking second in the shot put with a throw of 14.55 meters.
Benedictine University's Temitope Osobamiro (men's long jump) and Illinois Institute of Technology's Carson Owens (men's 400) rounded out the NACC's qualifiers.
For each men’s individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the championships. For each women’s individual event contested, including the pentathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the championships. For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the championships.
