Katie Pollock (Griffith, Ind.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of April 6-12, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
Pitcher --- Katie Pollock, Jr., RHP, Milwaukee School of Engineering
Pollock, a junior right-handed pitcher, went 2-0 in her two starts for the Raiders, pitching complete-game victories against both Lakeland and Aurora. She scattered three hits and struck out four in a 4-0 game one win over Lakeland. Pollock added 1.1 innings of perfect relief in game two against the Muskies. Against Aurora, she allowed just one run while scattering six hits.
Position Player --- Haley Barnes, Gr., INF, Benedictine University
Barnes, a graduate infielder, logged a big week for Benedictine as the Eagles reached the 20-win mark. She hit safely and scored at least one run in all eight games with five multiple-hit performances, including four straight in conference contests to end the week. Barnes hit .593 (16-of-27) while slugging 1.037 and posting a .636 on-base percentage, while posting 15 RBIs - including five alone in game two against St. Norbert on April 9. She also had three home runs, three doubles, drew three walks and was hit by a pitch twice.
