Daniel Franklin IV (men's field) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the period spanning May 4-14, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
Men's Field --- Daniel Franklin IV, Fr., Milwaukee School of Engineering
Franklin, a freshman from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, finished second in the triple jump at the UW-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open, leaping 14.43 meters (47-4 1/4). The mark is a new MSOE school record and sits 37th on the NCAA Division III performance list.
Men's Track --- AJ Springer, Jr., Milwaukee School of Engineering
Springer, a junior from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, won the 800-meter run at the UW-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open with a new NACC and MSOE record of 1:48.99. He went under the 1:50 barrier for the first time in his career and takes the nation's fourth-best time into the NCAA Championships. Springer broke his own NACC all-time mark of 1:51.38 set in mid-April, also at UW-La Crosse - site of this year's national meet.
Women's Field --- Olivia Jameson, Sr., Illinois Institute of Technology
Jameson, a senior from Cloquet, Minnesota, jumped won the high jump at the Augustana Penultimate Qualifier on May 8 with a leap of 1.68 meters (5-6). The mark, which is tied for 15th in NCAA Division III this season, allowed Jameson to make the cut for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Women's Track --- Emma Ahrens, Jr., Concordia University Wisconsin
Ahrens, a junior from Stephens City, Virginia, won the 10,000-meter run at the St. Francis (Ill.) Fighting Chance Invitational with a season-best time of 35:38.04. The mark placed Ahrens 22nd on the NCAA Division III performance list - good enough to clinch a spot at the upcoming NCAA Championships.
