NACC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors to Illinois Tech's Thomas, MSOE's Baxter

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology graduate student Kayla Thomas (Helsingborg, Sweden) and Milwaukee School of Engineering sophomore Teya Baxter (Seattle, Wash.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 21-27, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is the second NACC women's soccer weekly award this season for Baxter.

Defense --- Teya Baxter, So., GK, Milwaukee School of Engineering
Baxter, a sophomore goalie, logged 135 shutout minutes in goal for the Raiders, extending her current streak to 480 minutes overall. She recorded three saves over 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Edgewood Sept. 23, then added two saves while only playing the first half of MSOE's 3-0 win over Aurora Sept. 25.

Offense --- Kayla Thomas, Gr., F, Illinois Institute of Technology
Thomas, a graduate forward, had an explosive week offensively for the Scarlet Hawks. She scored a hat trick in a 6-0 victory over Concordia Chicago Sept. 23, then tacked on two more in a 7-1 win over Edgewood Sept. 26. Thomas' five goals came on six shots overall, all of which were on target.
