NACC Announces Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors for Jan. 29-Feb. 4, 2024

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University's Steven Tinsley (men's field), Illinois Institute of Technology's Amelia Moseman (women's track), and Milwaukee School of Engineering's Jessa Alderman (women's field) and Colby Branch (men's track) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4, 2024, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Women's Track --- Amelia Moseman, jr., Illinois Institute of Technology
Moseman, a junior from St. Paul, Minnesota, finished third in the 400-meter dash at the Illinois Wesleyan University Keck Select Invitational with a time of 59.74 seconds. She was one of three competitors to break 60 seconds in the event, trailing a pair of runners - Grace Alley of Loras and Catherine Christopher of Washington-St. Louis - who rank in the top-30 on the current NCAA Division III performance list in the event. Moseman's time established a new Illinois Tech indoor record and currently places her atop the NACC performance list.

Women's Field --- Jessa Alderman, so., Milwaukee School of Engineering
Alderman, a sophomore from Janesville, Wisconsin, broke the school record in the weight throw with an effort of 16.03 meters (52-7 1/4) to finish second at the Big Dawg Invitational hosted by UW-Stevens Point. She also finished second in the shot put with a toss of 13.04 meters (42-9 1/2) and currently tops the NACC performance list in both events.

Men's Track --- Colby Branch, sr., Milwaukee School of Engineering
Branch, a senior from Minnetonka, Minnesota, re-broke his own school record in the 3,000-meter run with a clocking of 8:41.63 at the Big Dawg Invitational hosted by UW-Stevens Point. The time currenly tops the NACC performance list.

Men's Field --- Steven Tinsley, sr., Aurora University
Tinsley, a senior from Coconut Creek, Florida, moved to the top of the NACC performance list in both the weight throw and shot following his performances at the Keck Select Meet hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. His indoor shot put personal best mark of 15.84 meters (51-11 3/4) ranks 28th in NCAA Division III and tops the NACC performance list by over two feet. Tinsley also posted a personal-best mark in the weight throw, clearing 16.60 meters (54-5 1/2). That mark also leads the NACC performance list.
