Illinois Tech's Rosati Dumangane Earns NACC Women's Tennis Weekly Honor

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology junior Maddalena Elisa Rosati Dumangane (Milan, Italy) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5, 2025, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Rosati Dumangane, a junior, went 4-0 overall last week as the Scarlet Hawks went 2-0 overall, remained undefeated in NACC play, and secured a share of the 2025 NACC title with wins over Wisconsin Lutheran and defending champion Edgewood. In a 7-0 home win over Wisconsin Lutheran on Oct. 4, Rosati Dumangane defeated Joelle Smith 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 singles and paired with partner Maia Lecuona Ramos for a 6-1 win over Amelia Kelley and Sophia Schroeder at No. 2 doubles. In a 4-3 win at Edgewood the following day, Rosati Dumangane defeated Hattie Plenty at No. 2 singles by a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 score. She and Lecuona Ramos also posted a 6-1 win over Christina Ekkela and Kaitlyn Narkis at No. 2 doubles. Rosati Dumangane is 13-1 in NACC play this season, including a perfect 7-0 in singles action.
