Aurora Falls to Ohio Northern in NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament

ADA, Ohio --- The Aurora University men's lacrosse team saw the 2025 season come to an end in the 2025 NCAA Division III Tournament on Wednesday afternoon as they fell to Ohio Northern University 14-7. The match-up between the two program's was the first ever.

The 2025 season comes to a conclusion for the Spartans with a 14-6 overall record and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season and conference tournament championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 1-0 early in the contest, Conor Bolton scored for AU to tie the game 1-1 off an assist from Travis Weischadle.
- AU trailed 3-1 after one with ONU scoring two goals in the final 2:32 of the quarter.
- After being out-scored 6-0 in the second, AU went to halftime down 9-1.
- Spartan goalie Asher Deputy had six saves in the first-half.
- Late in the third the Spartans rose to life scoring three times.
- Griffin Joas had two goals and Tyler Foerstel the other as AU trailed 10-4 going to the fourth.
- Two more Joas goals in the fourth brought the Spartans to within six again at 12-6.
- Foerstel rounded out the games scoring later in the fourth.
- AU would fall to the Polar Bears 14-7.
