CUC's Holubek, Dominican's Hirsch Named NACC Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Concordia University Chicago graduate student Tyler Holubek (New Lenox, Ill.) and Dominican University junior Thomas Hirsch (Boise, Idaho) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is the third consecutive week Hirsch has been named NACC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.

Defense --- Thomas Hirsch, Jr., MB, Dominican University
Hirsch, a junior middle blocker, recorded 18 total blocks - including six solo stops - as Dominican recorded three non-conference victories. He opened his week with six blocks (three solo) in the Stars' five-set victory over Illinois Wesleyan on Feb. 5. Hirsch added three blocks (one solo) in a three-set sweep of Wabash two days later before closing the weekend with a Dominican single-match record nine blocks (two solo) in a sweep of Mount Union.

Offense --- Tyler Holubek, Gr., OPP, Concordia University Chicago
Holubek, a graduate opposite, led the Cougars to nonconference victories over Mount Union and Wabash. He totaled 15 kills in a four-set win over Mount Union, the added 11 more in a three-set win over Wabash. The 11 kills against the Little Giants pushed Holubek over the 1,000 career kills mark. He now ranks second in CUC program history and is the sixth player in league history to reach the plateau.
