Jack Whalon (Woodstock, Ill.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 16-22, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
This is the second consecutive NACC weekly honor for Deputy.
Defense --- Asher Deputy, Jr., G, Aurora University
Deputy, a junior goalie, led Aurora to a 15-14 win at Illinois Wesleyan, snapping Aurora's nine-game losing streak against the TItans. He finished the day with 16 saves while adding eight ground balls.
Offense --- Griffin Joas, So., A, Aurora University
Joas, a sophomore attack, led Aurora to a 15-14 win at Illinois Wesleyan, snapping a nine-game losing streak against the Titans. Joas had seven points on the day, scoring four goals and assisting on three more. He also had two ground-ball pickups in the winning effort.
Specialist --- Jack Whalon, Sr., FO, Benedictine University
Whalon, a senior faceoff specialist, lost just three faceoffs as Benedictine opened the season with a pair of victories. He was 6-of-8 on faceoffs and collected six ground balls in a 13-0 season-opening win over Augustana (Ill.). Whalon was dominant in the program's first-ever win over North Central (Ill.), finishing 14-of-15 of faceoffs with 12 ground balls as the Eagles scored a 6-5 victory.
