RIPON, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- St. Norbert College collected at least 21 points in four of five women's individual events and took second in the lone relay contested Friday to build a 47-point lead after the opening day of the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Indoor Track and Field Championships at Willmore Center.
The Green Knights piled up 99 points, well clear of second-place Concordia University Wisconsin (52) and third-place Milwaukee School of Engineering (36). Illinois Insitute of Technology is fourth with 19 points ahead of Aurora University (13), Wisconsin Lutheran College (12), Rockford University (2), and Benedictine University (1).
St. Norbert opened the championship with a 1-2-7-8 finish in the pentathlon as
Larissa Huffmann (2,759) edged
Ellison Lilyquist (2,716) for the title. The Green Knights also placed four in the pole vault (1-2-5-7) won by
Isabella Galindo (3.45 meters; 11-3 3/4) and 5,000-meter run (2-3-4-6), and three in the triple jump (1-2-4) won by
Eden Maranell (11.70m; 38-4 3/4), while the St. Norbert distance medley relay of
Sarah Kraklow,
Madi Crossman,
Kendra Troxel, and
Kera Riley came home second with a time of 12:53.29.
Concordia Wisconsin scored two event titles, as
Melanie Arvis won the 5,000 (18:24.88) and the quartet of
Mikayla Becker,
Adalin Nodolf,
Olivia Ebel, and
Danielle Van Grinsven won the distance medley relay (12:49.98). The Falcons had multiple point-scorers in the 5,000 (1-8), pole vault (2-4), triple jump (3-6-7), and weight throw (6-8).
MSOE picked up 29 of its 36 points in the weight throw, sweeping the top four spots.
Jessa Alderman (16.23m; 53-3) picked up the title, followed by fellow Raiders
Katrina Wawrzyn (15.94m; 52-3 3/4),
Kylie Crum (15.93m; 52-3 1/4), and
Josephine Jacklin (15.50m; 50-10 1/4).
The Championships resume at 9 a.m. Saturday with the second day of the men's heptathlon. The first women's events will be the long jump and shot put, which begin at 11 a.m. The first event final on the track is the mile run, slated for 1 p.m.
