NACC Softball Weekly Honors to BenU's Barnes, CUW's Keiper

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Benedictine University graduate student Haley Barnes (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) and Concordia University Wisconsin freshman Faith Keiper (Tomball, Texas) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 16-22, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is Keiper's second NACC weekly award this season.

Pitcher --- Faith Keiper, Fr., P/INF, Concordia University Wisconsin
Keiper, a freshman, earned two victories with eight strikeouts and a 1.24 earned-run averaged as Concordia Wisconsin swept Dominican to open NACC play. She got the start in game one of the doubleheader, scattering eight hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings as the Falcons scored the 8-5 victory. Keiper made a relief appearance in game two, striking out four while allowing one run on four hits and a walk over 5-1/3 innings as CUW completed the sweep with a 9-4 win.

Position Player --- Haley Barnes, Gr., INF, Benedictine University
Barnes, a graduate infielder, hit safely in four games as Benedictine went 3-1 to open NACC play. She finished with a .643 batting average, a .929 slugging percentage, and a .706 on-base percentage. Barnes had nine hits in 14 at-bats, recording one home run, one double, five RBIs, six runs scored, and four stolen bases. In Sunday's opener against Concordia Chicago, Barnes was 5-for-5 with two RBIs, two runs scored, and three stolen bases as the Eagles outslugged the Cougars, 17-14.
