Dominican's Rubio, Rockford's Mois Named NACC Softball Student-Athletes of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Dominican University sophomore Rhiannon Rubio (Lancaster, Calif.) and Rockford University junior Liz Mois (Oregon, Ill.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 23-29, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Pitcher --- Rhiannon Rubio, So., P, Dominican University
Rubio, a sophomore, appeared in three of Dominican's four games, posting a 2-0 record with one save and eight strikeouts over 11.2 innings. She started game two of the Stars' doubleheader against MSOE on March 28, giving up just one run on four hits while walking two over four innings en route to the win. Rubio appeared in both ends of Dominican's doubleheader at Concordia Chicago. She entered the opener with the Stars leading 6-5 with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning and runners on the corners and was able to induce a game-ending double play from the only batter she faced. In the finale, Rubio scattered eight hits and five walks while striking out seven in a complete-game effort as Dominican posted a 4-2 victory.

Position Player --- Liz Mois, Jr., C, Rockford University
Mois, a junior catcher, went 7-for-12 at the plate with eight RBIs and four home runs in a doubleheader sweep of Alverno. She was 5-of-7 with three home runs and six RBIs in game two alone, tying NACC single-game records for hits and home runs.
