Samantha Gargiulo (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Lake Forest College senior
Emma Sharp (Cumberland, Maine) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 23-March 1, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
Defense --- Samantha Gargiulo, Jr., GK, Illinois Institute of Technology
Gargiulo, a junior goalkeeper, established a new Illinois Tech single-match record for saves against Hamline on March 1. The Pipers fired 51 shots on the day, with Gargiulo making 22 saves. The previous program record of 21 was set by Taylor Thompson, who did it twice in the 2014 season. She also made seven saves against Saint Mary's (Ind.) and scooped up a total of five ground balls between the two matches.
Offense --- Emma Sharp, Sr., A, Lake Forest College
Sharp, a senior attack, set a program record with 16 points in Lake Forest's 21-6 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University on Feb. 28. She either scored or assisted on each of the Foresters' first eight goals and 11 of their 12 goals in the first half. Sharp's nine goals and seven assists in the contest were each just one shy of the program's single-game records.
