Aurora's Smith, CUW's Black Named NACC Women's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University senior Nicolina Smith (Aptos, Calif.) and Concordia University Wisconsin junior Naomi Black (Ottawa, Ontario) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of March 16-22, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Defense --- Naomi Black, Jr., D, Concordia University Wisconsin
Black, a junior defender, caused a total of eight turnovers, scooped up six ground balls, and had three draw controls as the Falcons split a pair of nonconference matches. In a 13-10 win at North Central (Ill.), she had caused six turnovers, picked up four ground balls, and won two draw controls. Black added two caused turnovers, two ground balls, and a draw control in a 21-4 loss to undefeated Carroll (Wis.).

Offense --- Nicolina Smith, Sr., M/A, Aurora University
Smith, a senior attack, led the offensive effort for Aurora despite the Spartans dropping a pair of games to WIAC foes UW-La Crosse (15-7) and UW-Eau Claire (16-10). She scored three goals on five shots with five ground balls, four draw controls and a caused turnover against the Eagles, then posted four goals on seven shots with three draw controls and a caused turnover against the Blugolds.
