NACC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors to Aurora's Pope, Illinois Tech's Martinez

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University senior Alle Pope (Parkville, Mo.) and Illinois Institute of Technology senior Antonia Martinez (Atlanta, Ga.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of April 12-19, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

This is the second NACC weekly award of the season for both Pope and Martinez.

Defense --- Alle Pope, Sr., D, Aurora University
Pope, a senior defender, collected 10 caused turnover across two NACC matches with five each in games against Lake Forest and Marian. She also added 12 ground balls - five against the Foresters and seven against the Sabres.

Offense --- Antonia Martinez, Sr., A, Illinois Institute of Technology
Martinez, a senior attack, totaled 16 points on 12 goals and four assists to pace the Illinois Tech offense as the Scarlet Hawks scored victories over Beloit (13-7) and Lawrence (11-4) - winning consecutive league contests for the first time since 2022. She had four goals and three assists against the Buccaneers on April 14, then registered an assist and a career-high-tying eight goals against the Vikings on April 18. Across the two contests, she fired 17 shots - including 16 on goal - for a .941 shot-on-goal percentage. Martinez's 12 goals resulted in a .706 shot percentage. She is currently fifth in the NACC in goals per game (2.88) and fourth in points per game (3.94).
